Pediatric University Presents:

ScreenStrong Workshop: Rethinking Screens, Reclaiming Kids, & Reconnecting Families

Description: Laura Wurzburher, a ScreenStrong ambassador, will give an overview of the science behind healthy brain development, effects of screens on a developing brain, symptoms of screen overuse & solutions to prevent and reverse the effects of  addictive screen habits.

Present By:

Laura Wurzburher, a ScreenStrong Ambassador

About the Presenter:

Laura Wurzburger has a Masters of Education and has spent the last 20 years working with children and their families in a variety of educational settings. Like many others, Laura’s family screen use went off the rails during the pandemic. Between remote schooling and virtual play dates, her two school age children were on screens more than ever before. In June of 2021, Laura decided to detox her children from toxic screens. She sold their iPads and gaming system and hasn’t looked back. Laura has seen first hand how family connections can be renewed when screens are removed. She is passionate about sharing ScreenStrong’s message to delay toxic screens with families who are parenting children with special needs and developmental trauma.
